Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation’s 6th Charity Golfing Day

Newcastle Airport is preparing to hold their 6th charity golf day at Pacific Dunes to raise funds for Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation.

The event, held March 9, coincides with Newcastle Airport CEO Paul Hughes’ retirement from the top job – no doubt to enjoy some more free time to play golf!

Paul is an avid golfer and a long-term member of the Pacific Dunes family, having held the annual golfing day on our world-class green since 2009.

In 2010, Paul selected the Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation as the Charity of Choice to donate all proceeds from the golfing day.

Since 2009, more than $165,000 has been donated from the annual event.

All donated proceeds go towards funding hygiene-grade comfort cushions for women who have breast cancer surgery in the Hunter, which provide breast support post-surgery.

The foundation also assists with transportation to and from treatment, house cleaning and garden care.

The charity golf day includes breakfast upon arrival, a round of golf, fully catered lunch and presentations, as well as an auction and raffle.
